Turntables and Transformations
Svedvik’s origins trace back to a DJ collective that founder Ian Lawrow organized in college. After graduating, he partnered with Doug Backer to form CPC, a pioneering agency where dance events evolved into sports marketing activations for NFL, NBA, MLB, and NCAA teams. No one had coined the term “experiential” yet, but as CPC’s work advanced from athletics to immersive engagements for the likes of Coca-Cola, General Mills, and Target, a new marketing discipline emerged.
In 2015, inspired by the disruptor brand movement, Ian launched Svedvik Collective, combining efficiency-driving principles with a deep talent network to re-envision the agency model. Today, Svedvik is a key partner to organizations across the US. We operate as an on-call experiential department for marketing and PR agencies while producing nationally recognized work for a wide range of brands — from blazing upstarts to national icons. Svedvik’s scalable infrastructure empowers us to provide consumer engagement strategies with the nation’s top talent while remaining nimble, efficient, and independent.
